Can freezing temperatures damage the R3?
Yes. Water left inside the system can freeze and potentially damage the housings or fittings. We recommend draining and storing the system during freezing conditions.
What is the difference between the R3 and the AR3 systems?
The R3 and AR3 utilize the same filtration technology, filters, and Quick Connect system. The main difference is the frame material and overall design.
Does the R3 soften water?
No. The R3 is a filtration system designed to help reduce fine contaminants, sediment, chlorine, odors, and unpleasant tastes, but it is not a water softener. For hard water treatment, we recommend pairing the R3 with a Blu Technology water softener.
What is included with the R3 System?
The R3 System includes the R3 filtration unit, installed filters, 3/4"garden hose Quick Connect fittings, and a filter housing key for filter maintenance.
What is the recommended PSI for the R3?
We recommend operating the R3 at 60 PSI or below.
Does the R3 reduce water pressure?
The R3 is designed with high-flow filters to help maintain strong water flow with minimal pressure loss.
