What makes the OFFGRID 3 three-stage filter set different from Blu Technology’s standard filter set?
The OFFGRID three-stage filter set is specifically designed for higher risk water sources such as lakes, streams, and off-grid water applications. The biggest difference is the OFFGRID 0.2 micron filter, which is an NSF-certified and third-party tested absolute-rated 0.2 micron filter that also utilizes an electro-adhesive filtration layer for enhanced contaminant reduction performance.
Will these replace the filters in my standard three-stage, 5" system?
Yes, this filter set is intended to be used in our standard three-stage, 5"systems like the AR3, R3, and TRIO.
Can I use the OFFGRID filter set with city water?
Yes. OFFGRID filters can also be used with campground or city water supplies, as well as natural water sources.
Which direction should the filters be installed?
The Longevity filter and the OFFGRID 0.2-micron filter have no designated top or bottom, so they can be installed in any orientation. The Tasty filter should be installed with the white washer facing the filter housing assembly.
How often should I replace the filters?
Replacement intervals depend on water quality and usage, but most customers replace filters every 3-4months under average RV use conditions.
